For the last 2 month the update icon has been showing in
the task bar, i can not click on it or remove it, i am
DSL 24/7 so any updates should and have been downloaded
for all my programs. I am also running Norton Internet
Security, but i have only had norton for the past month.
Any suggestions on how i can get rid of this update
button on my taskbar, it is becoming a pain to look at!!!!

Hi,

Have you tried turning Automatic Updates off, then back on again? Start/run
services.msc, scroll to the Automatic Update service and double-click it.
"Stop" the service, then set the startup type to disabled. Click apply/ok
and reboot. Then reverse the steps to restart it.
