Updating BIOS FOR newer graphic card

Guys I wanted to know that do I need to update my motherboard bios for it to support new graphic I am planning to buy manli gtx 970 4gb ddr5 my motherboard is gigabyte h61m-s with i5 3470 please help me guys I really need to know and will this graphic card work with my motherboard and is compulsory for me to update my bios

For the 900 series card you should be fine , 1000 series cards usually cause the issues.

BIOS could still cause an issue , but not usually with 900 series.

F3a < is this your BIOS , it was for GPU compatibility and the last one released awhile ago for your board.

No mine is f2 an previous of fa3 so will I need to update or not

You won't know till you try the card , most likely you will since it's a GPU compatibility update.
