Hello,

I am currently running a Ryzen 5 1600 with an RX580 and want to upgrade my GPU so I can improve the gameplay experience (add more detail) with Modern Warefare Warzone and Battlefield 5. Looking to spend around $350 USD. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Solution
Yes, I suggest you upgrade your CPU first; any GPU upgrade you make is going to be bottlenecked by your low clock speed and low IPC CPU.
That's not really right, since he wants to increase his game detail, not FPS, the CPU load might remain the same or increase only slightly. If OP plays with V-sync on at 60-120 FPS, a GPU upgrade would still help much more with better detail settings than a CPU upgrade would. I would suggest getting a decent GPU upgrade (maybe not max out your budget), and then start saving for a newer CPU. Since the RTX 3000 series are mostly out of stock and no 3000-series GPU is in your budget anyway, your next best bet would be an RX 5600 XT. Either that, or you can wait for a cheaper 3000-series GPU from...

Thanks for the feedback. Any suggestions on a CPU upgrade? I would like to keep the same mother board if possible.

I don't know what motherboard you have, but the Ryzen 1600 uses the AM4 socket, and it's probably too old to have the BIOS updated to run the Ryzen 5600x, so if you don't want to upgrade your motherboard, I'd recommend you a Ryzen 3600 or better.
Thanks for the reply. I am currently running the ASRock AB350 Pro4 motherboard.
