Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my good old i5-7600k it has been good to me but in recent titles like assassin's creed odyssey, rdr2, call of duty warzone I have some heavy bottleneck with my gtx 1080 since I do a lot of multitasking like watching movies or videos while gaming and using Discord the 4c and 4t are just not enough anymore

SPECS

GTX 1080

16GB DDR4 3000mhz

600w PSU (I know)

my budget is around 800$ CAD you're help/offers are very welcomed thank you :)

Solution
I would recommend getting a new PSU, regardless. That one is not very good quality. For the rest, I would look at something like this. I know B550 boards should be out soon, so you may want to wait.

You need to list your specs in greater detail. Please include/list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
GPU:
PSU:
OS:

Include the make and model of the PSU, not just it's wattage, but it's age too. You will also need to provide a preferred site for purchase(if PCPartPicker might throw some issues with availability for you).

yeah my problem with ryzen is that I mainly game, and while 6c-12t is very good for multi-tasking the zen 2 architecture is still under by a good margin for performance unless you play at higher resolution but at that point my gtx 1080 is gonna fall short :(

If UPS has had it all this time, that's a UPS issue with a specific package, not a NewEgg issue. Unless NewEgg hasn't shipped it at all yet, which is possible, because everyone's supply chains are broken right now.

well it becomes a newegg issue when newegg uses UPS as the delivery service in Canada
