Upgrade from MX420....

Hey, the mx420 is the same i upgraded from to a 9600 lol. It makes a big difference. But i believe you should go with a 6600gt because it's cheaper than other choices and because you are probably going to start running into cpu bottlenecks after that anyway (correct me if i am wrong). Anyway you will see a lot better performance than what you have now.

Yeah i think so, i don't know why it wouldn't. Just thinking that it would be the most efficient use of your money because that is a pretty old system and a computer is only as fast as it's slowest part. The ram will handle it no prob i just think your getting to the end of the cpu's life in terms of handling new stuff. lol. Though i have never used or had a computer that ran on intel except for when i was little. So i don't have as much experience with intel cpu's.

See, I want a card that has 256 mb ram. I just think it will perform better than a 128 mb card. I know anything will be faster than what I have. U don't have to worry about the cpu because I can upgrade it to a 3.06 ghz cpu but it won't have much effect as far as performance goes.
