Upgrade from SLI Gtx950

Hello friends,

currently looking at upgrading my sli gtx950, still doing great for what I play (D3, Overwatch).
What would be a good upgrade? budget is 350$ Cad.

My spec right now:
fx8350
32gb ram
1TB SSD (thanks to my VM lab.. lol)
evga 1000w psu

Right now is a terrible time to purchase a video card due to the mining craze. However it looks like the etherium movement is coming to an end, so I would wait a few weeks to a month and I suspect prices will drastically drop. I am not sure what the prices are for in Canada, but a 1060 6gb will be a very good upgrade from a 950. Before the video card demand went sky high due to mining, the 1060 6gb cost around $250 USD.

If you want something right now, then I would suggest the 1050ti. It is around $130 USD and will play overwatch and diablo very well. But it will struggle moving forward as games continue to become more graphically intense. In short, the 1060 will last longer.

Thanks for the tip, I can wait for sure. Actually, a GTX1060 in Canada worth about 330$ Cad.
What about AMD side, Rx480 or Rx580?

RX 480/580 are a good choice too (if/when the prices have settled back down, that is). Whether RX 580 or GTX 1060 is better is determined by the games you play primarily.

Look for benchmarks of your most demanding games for both of these GPUs and determine which one to get based on the results you see.

The RX 580 typically performs better in DX 12 titles where the 1060 typically performs better in DX11. Right now the 580 is priced ridiculously high and I would avoid it. Buy when the pricing gets down to a reasonable level, then I would go with the best priced option between the 580 8gb and the 1060 6gb.

Will probably go for the green team. I will hold a couples weeks. Untill then, I will rock the sh** out of my sli gtx950.
