I was watching screen savers while on the road and they were suggesting that
a good upgrade for old systems would be a Video Capture Card with Graphics
(Chip ??) to take the pressure off the low amount of memory in the GW

G6 333 Mhz
256 megs of Ram (maximum per manual)

Computer used for normal useage and some video work. ie burning disks etc.

Any suggestions on what to buy? Would this in effect prolong my useage of
this computer. Hate to throw it out as it still works great and handles all
I throw at it. Brand or what amout of graphics (ram???) I should look for?
Thanks for any comments.

Lee,

Never mind the Gateway manual. What is the motherboard BIOS identification?
It's likely to be an Intel made AL440LX, for which you can download the manuals
from the Intel web site. The original equipment manufacturers' manuals, when
available, are always a more accurate source of info than Gateway info.
