upgrade my prebuilt pc

Hello I was just wondering if i could upgrade my prebuilt pc.
It's a HP Pavilion 550-121no and im looking at a ryzen 3 1300x but im not sure if i can use that processor in this pc.
Please help.

You'd have to replace the CPU, motherboard and memory. Best is to sell it and build a new Ryzen based PC.

what is you current CPU? I bet Intel. If so, you can not upgrade to a Ryzen CPU only, it has different sockets, which will need different motherboard and maybe even ram.

According to the specs it should be an AMD A8-8650.

Different sockets... yours is FM2+, Ryzen is AM4, not compatible. Are you willing to buy the whole CPU/MB/RAM combo for ~$260?
