I also saw a bunch of chatter about issues with asus and AM5 altogether so I may go with a gigabyte board
MSI is also a good board maker. Used them for years.

For native Thunderbolt look at an Asus ROG board.ok here is another upgrade question
if I go with the gigabyte board it doesnt have native thunderbolt/usb4 headers
so I would be sacrificing that
There are Pci-E cards that you can isntall but:....Question
most of these cards are only Pci-E 3/4 which maxes out, according to the internet at 32gbps
which would seem to truncate the 40gbps of the thunderbolt port...
or am I missing something?
