Question Upgrade Questions on prebuilt

Hello i have a HP Envy 750-418no and i want to upgrade the cpu and i am wondering what would be good to upgrade too since i have a 1070 buti am worried about the motherboard which is a Odense2-s

6700k, 6700, 6400, 6100
those are listed as the ONLY supported CPU's by that motherboard. IDK if there are compatible BIOS updates that would allow 7th generation support.
the form factor of the board is mATX, Micro ATX. it looks to be standard and easily up-gradable.

you should be able to swap the motherboard for any other standard mATX board and get whichever motherboard and CPU you choose provided the PSU will power everything, 300W does not look good (1070 will eat half that at full) a new PSU would be warranted for a higher powered CPU.

Thanks for the advice i dont know alot about motherboards so are there any you can recommend

you have the i5-6400, or the 6100? the 6700's extra threads would be a good upgrade, that board is not for overclocking so I would not even look at the 6700k.
