Hey guys I have a gaming PC with a Ryzen 5 1500X and the Gtx 1050Ti and have been noticing extremely frequent FPS drops/stutters. I get 140+ FPS on all low in fortnite but drop to 30/40 for a split sec and this happens every minute. I have 1 8GB a stick of ram and heard somewhere that running dual channel would help? Is this true?

Your system doesn't look like it would have too many problems running Fortnite. What sort of internet connection are you using? If it is not Ethernet (wired), the unreliable connection might be causing this frame drop/lag.

Also, do you get this problem in other games? If you are only experiencing frame drops in Fortnite, you might try seeing if any patches have been released (or maybe even trying to reinstall the game).

I am using Ethernet and I also tried re installing fortnite. Idk what the problem is but it’s soo annoying. It’s also the only game I play so I’m not sure

I would highly recommend trying to run another game or benchmark before purchasing new hardware. RAM is definitely a likely culprit, but you want to make sure that hardware IS your problem.

Unigine has some free benchmarking software; I would download that and see if you system gives you any problems.

Too slow for Ryzen, depending on the game the difference between 2400 & 3200 could be a high as 20 FPS and the testing I've done with my system shows that with the higher speeds you maintain a more stable FPS (tested with the Division 2).

I would highly recommend buy a 2x8gb kit @3200mhz and selling your current 8gb stick.
Would that help with stutters and drops too
