[SOLVED] upgrade to 4k gaming

Hello,

My PC started restarting when I try to play games in 4k, I have a pretty old build. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for upgrades. I'll list my build below. Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks.

What games, and are these games ones you normally play at 1080p resolution on the same system?

Your system isn't powerful enough for 4k gaming in many modern titles, though that should just mean they run badly as opposed to cause the PC to power off.

Have you used something like HWinfo to check CPU and GPU thermals on idle and under gaming + 4k gaming load?
