Hi,
My current build is
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
Asus P5Q-EM
XFX 9600 GT
8 GB DDR2-800
Hitachi 1 TB+ 500 GB
Thermaltake TR2-420 NP

My current build is 3 years old.

I am thinking of buying Core i5 3570K, a ~$200 Mobo and 8 GB DDR3-1600.

Will I have to buy a power supply too for core i5 ???

My total budget is ~$450

P.S:I have no intention of buying a new graphics card this year.

Solution
If you're not upgrading the GPU, then there's no need to upgrade your PSU in this case. The TR2's aren't great, but if it's working then you can wait until you upgrade the GPU. Good thing considering you've already hit your budget with your current upgrades!

For gaming you will get no benefit from the upgrade if you don't upgrade the graphics card.

For general use, the benefit would be just about noticeable, but hardly worth it.

For CPU intensive apps like video editing, video converting and photo editing, well then that's a different matter.

I assume the 420 in your psu is the power. This should be ok, but you should get a 600 watt one when you get a decent graphics card.
