Hey guys

Today I've upgrade my old VGA (Sapphire HD6750 1GB) to an ASUS R9 270X DC2TOP,
and now if I start playing games my computer will crash with a liney picture and I have to restart it.

My PC:
-ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0
-AMD Fx-8320 (not overclocked)
-8GB of Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz RAM
-Chieftec 600W CTG-600-80P PSU

It only seems to crash while under the system is under load (mostly happens in games)
I know the PSU is not the best one but, I don't have the money to replace it so I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve spending money.

What I've already did:
-Driver updates
-BIOS update
-Checked if it overheats, it doesn't

Right now I'm trying to reisntall Windows to get rid of old drivers

Any suggestions are appreciated

Solution
I can say right now that PSU is complete junk. If its not supplying enough power (Which I am sure its not) it will cause system crashes under load. Unfortunately there is no way around this short of not playing games.

Get yourself a good XFX, EVGA, or Seasonic PSU. Any other solutions aren't going to do anything for you.
This sounds like 1 of the 3 below possible:-

1) Driver conflict
Since you are clean installing Windows this will determine whether or not this is the issue. Please try the stable release of the current driver, do not try beta unless you know the driver is not the issue.

2) PSU not supplying enough power
Your PSU may not be supplying enough power on the rails. The 270x requires quite a bit more power over your old 6570.

3) GPU Faulty
It may be possible you received a DOA card.

You can determine the exact cause by using the 270x in a different PC (different PSU). If the problem persists, your GPU should be RMA'd or returned.

Solution
^ Agreed. I inquired about the the Chieftec PSU on the PSU tier page in the past (http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html). I'm summarizing, but I was basically told that it was junk. The problem is possibly caused by your PSU, but whether it is or isn't in this specific case, you should upgrade it ASAP regardless. I'm just being honest.

Buy this (below). It's a great deal for the money:

EVGA G2 650
$79.99 after $20.00 rebate card

This PSU is tier 1, I own the 850 watt version of this power supply, and 650 watts is enough power for upgrading in the future to a GTX 980 Ti. Go for it.

Regardless, upgrade your PSU. Also, in the future, instead of re-installing Windows 7 to clear drivers, simply download DDU (display drivers uninstaller). Then once the drivers are cleared out, download the new ones from Nvidia or AMD.

That PSU is not available in my country could you recommend another good and cheap option?
