Ahh, here I am again. Never lucky with my upgrades 🥲.
Just changed my case, mobo, gpu and psu. Been a minute coming. Spent a lot of time on it today got it up and running (first time vertical mounting gpu), I managed to download a few drivers, got chipset and some other msi stuff but it keeps crashing, stuttering and being weird. Fresh windows install. Everytime I even try to download the nvidia app it black screens and crashes, managed to actually run death stranding and it was amazing for about 30 seconds.
Things I have tried:
- disabling amd display adaptor which just keeps appearing.
- ran the repair tool, come up with nothing.
- windows updates all up to date (but it does come up with amd in the driver section I guess it has to be driver related)
- tried running memory diagnostic, it crashed before I could press restart.
- temperatures are really good.
- cpu, ram and previous pc ran very well still relatively fresh some parts.
- tried with and without expo.
Old system:
Corsair carbide air 550
R7 7800x3d
Some cheap gigabyte itx mobo
Old seasonic 750w psu
Corsair vengeance 6000m/t 32gb
Rtx 3060
One m.2, 2 sata ssds, 2 hdds
New upgrades:
Rtx 4070 ti super(vertical)
ASUs rog 850w platinum series
Msi x870 gaming plus WiFi
Ram is in a2 and b2
Msi gungnir 300p case
Still the same drives, kept data but reset windows via cloud download
If anyone has any insight to what it could be, would be much appreciated 👍
