I upgraded from my 16gb DDR4 -3600 to 32gb DDR4 3600 and when I turned it back on I have a blue screen. I tried going back to the 16gb sticks and still get blue screen. I have also tried running single stick in all four slots and tested all four sticks this way to rule out slots and sticks as faulty. I am loosing my mind as to what this issue is. I need some help please.

Use one stick of ram in the proper slot.
Can you get into the bios?
If so disable xmp.
Test.

Use one stick of the old ram.
Clear the bios.
See if it will boot windows.

If not can you boot something from usb?
Perhaps memtest.
Yeah I’ve done the one stick reset already with no luck. I did a cmos reset and tried each stick in each slot with no luck.
I did create a new windows install usb to bypass admin issue to use command prompt. I’m wondering if rolling back windows updates will help the issue or not.
I am really just confused as to why I had this issue then I switch my secure boot from “other OS” to Windows UEFI and it worked for 3 hours then crapped out again.

New ram is version 3.31
Old ram I’m not seeing a version on the stick itself
3.31 is either Micron 8Gbit Rev B or Rev D, so your sticks might be 2Rx8 (if its ver 3.4x then its the 16Gbit chips, configured at 1Rx8).
follow this step by step in order (read till end):
  • Disconnect from internet
  • Uninstall gpu driver using DDU (clean and do not restart).
  • Uninstall all the processors (is a must, should be 12 on yours, also when it asks for restart, click on no and keep uninstalling all processors) on device manager like this:

  • Uninstall AMD Chipset Software in control panel (if there is none, skip it.),

  • restart the pc to bios, then update to this bios, after update is done, go to bios again and then load default or optimized settings, disable CSM, enable Above 4G Decoding and Resizable bar option if you want to (these 2 options wont be available unless CSM is disabled), enable XMP, then on advanced dram timings, go find RttNom RttWR RttPark timings, Change RttNom to 7 (or 34ohm), RttWr to 3 (or 80ohm), RttPark to 1~2 (or 240~120ohm), make sure everythings correctly inputted, then save and exit.

  • boot up to windows and install the latest Chipset driver (should be ver 4.03.xx), then reboot.

  • Install the latest nvidia driver, and then connect to internet.

*do this all offline until reboot after installing chipset driver. Download needed files (highlighted word) before doing step 1, do the step in orders.

  • Run cmd as admin, then do chkdsk /x /f /r, after that do sfc /scannow.

  • And check windows update if there is any and install them (except optional update). Don't forget to turn on Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling (Nvidia GPUs only) in graphics settings and reboot.

  • Make sure the psu connected to the gpu is 1 pcie cable per 1 slot (use main cable, not the branches/split) like this:

I get past post then it goes straight into blue screen so I don’t think I’ll be able to do this with the current boot status of my PC
