Upgrading a Dell Vostro 470

Ok, so I currently have a Vostro 470, i5, 14Gb RAM (I upgraded from 6), currently with an Nvidia GT620 GPU. I am looking at buying a GTX750ti, as it seems to aimed at people who bought a normal desktop and now want a low/medium end gaming pc. Your GPU needs at least 300W for it to work, and your PSU is only 350W. You should buy a 500w-600w psu for such stuff to work correctly.

As I have a 350w psu, and it requires 300 minimum, does that mean that I could potentially run it, as it only draws 60w?

Ok, so theoretically speaking it would work, but there is a chance that it might draw more than that/my psu isn't up to scratch.

Also, are there any GPUs that you would recommend that can run most games high sets 60fps that only run off the PCIe socket?

Running of PCIe doesn't mean it saves power. Nowadays high settings on new games and no external power is not a thing. Is it that hard to buy a PSU?

Since I have a Vostro, people seem to be saying that the psu is made to fit, and therefore can't be replaced

Just look if the power connectors differs from regular ones... From the pictures I think it's standard ATX but you never know for sure... The best way would be to test PSU with a multimeter.

For future reference, anyone who wants to do this upgrade; IT WOOORKS, I overclocked it to 1.25 Ghz, so it draws an estimated 70w under full load, which is 5 below the maximum recommended wattage for single handedly powering a GPU through PCIe. So far, no crashes or glitches, but I needed to get a new screen because of the available connectors.
