Upgrading a emachine et1810 with a E8600

I've been reading on here about upgrading a E-Machine. I have a ET1810 computer and have ordered a E8600 dul core to replace the cpu. Was wondering If Iwould need to unlock the bio's or if it would just be like a PNP upgrade. Any help with the unlocking of the bio's if I need to, I would be so grateful.

the emachine bios doesnt let u do much, but i dont know what u mean by unlock, u might have to update ur bios from the acer website, but thats about it, like i said emachine doesnt let u tweak ur settings like lets say an asus board, they make that way so people dont mess around in there and void there warranty

Hit delete when you first turn it on to get into your bios. Yeah you are not going to tweak anything in the bios on that board. I would get an Asus or Gigabyte MB.
