The computer is a hp a6650f (I know it's old) I just want to play skyrim at medium to high settings with 30 to 60 fps, after I save up for my gaming rig it will just be used for school work and internet.

The computer has a phenom 4x 9550 6gb ddr2 800mz ram. I was thinking to get a gtx 750ti, and maybe a phenom 2 if it's compatible with 95 watts oh and a power supply for 750ti (I don't want to put a lot of money in this cause I'm saving up for a i5 6600k build).

Is this your machine? http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01530039

You can run the GTX 750 Ti on the stock 300W PSU if you want. This GTX 750 Ti has a small switch to change between legacy BIOS and UEFI if required: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127783&cm_re=msi_750-_-14-127-783-_-Product
This one doesn't have the BIOS switch but has been used successfully on older HP machines according to the reports here on the forum: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487025
