Upgrading a Toshiba Qosmio laptop memory (P55 mainboard)

Hi

I would like to put more RAM in my Toshiba Qosmio X505 Q860 laptop. I think the mainboard has a P55 chip which supports up to 8GB RAM (but I haven't verified the source of this information).

I have two questions:

1. Which is the maximum memory frequency that the mainboard supports?
2. Is the mainboard Dual Channel? Because I intend to remove on of my 2GB RAM modules and replace it with a 4GB (throw away the other module). Off course, if it is dual channel then I will buy 4+4GB.

I don't see a listing for an X505 Q806 so I'm guessing you meant X505 Q860. If so, then

CPU ID shows this about the RAM:

  CL 7 (clocks)
  Dual channel

The truth is that Windows Experience Index from RAM is 7.2 compared 6.2 for CPU making the CPU the slowest component in my laptop.
