upgrading an asus amd mobo to a asus intel mobo and also the processor?

hi everyone
i need to upgrade my processor and motherboard i know how to fit the motherboard and processor but not familiar with installing/uninstalling drivers etc.
ive been told by a few people that i would have to uninstall windows and install back again.
any advice would be great

If you get a new mobo and cpu, you don't need to re-install Windows. All you need to to is uninstall the drivers for the mobo.
