Hi, I'm seeking assistance in upgrading my graphic card for the computer below.

Processor AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor
Speed 3.1 GHz
Number of Cores 4
Video Card ATI Radeon HD 4200
Chipset ATI Radeon HD 4200
Dedicated Memory 256 MB
Total Memory 2.9 GB
Memory 5.9 GB
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Service Pack 1
Size 64 Bit
Edition Home Premium
I'm not sure if there is any other information I should post.

Anyways, I'm uhh...100% new to graphic card upgrading?
I can go on google to learn how install this, or do that, but I totally don't understand what graphic card I should buy. I'm worried that I might buy a graphic card that I can't even install due to it's size or beause it's not compatible with my computer.

Therefore, can someone please give me one or two choices of graphic cards that can be installed on this computer? Also, will I need to buy a fan as well?
I'm just looking for something that can run archeage. Anything around or below $100 would be great, kinda killing me on the inside after already paying $150 for a archeage founder pack -.-.

Thanks.

That GPU , i had in my old laptop it was hell on earth.

Anyhow, your CPU is fairly old and you didn't list your PSU, which, if too low of wattage, could bottleneck (limit) your GPUs' performance, however excluding those cases, here are a couple of choices:

- An R7 260x , if bought from newegg, about $120. Great card for that price, would max most games post 2012 , mediocre on newer games, but still a great performer.

-GTX 750ti , Slightly better than the R9 260x , about $130 - $140 on newegg too. Runs cooler.

I'd personally advise you to upgrade that Athlon II to a $100 FX 6300 (great 6 core CPU) if you have the money.

Thank you for the choices. I'm thinking about buying a GTX 750ti. However, is there any way for me to check whether or not the graphic card will fit my Hp Pavilion p7-1054 Desktop PC, without having to check it manually?
I can open it and measure it if I have to, but is there any other methods?
Thanks.
The info about the pc can be found below, but to me, it like a language from outer space.
