So I have just bought a new ryzen 7 5800x and a EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra with a new PSU RMx Corsair 850w from my current build of:

  • Ryzen 7 3700x
  • Gigabyte 3X RTX 2070 Super
  • Asus x570 Prime-P
  • 16 GBs of ram 3600 (2 sticks of 8gb) (forgot which brand)
  • 2 ssds (250gb OS , 1 tb)
  • 600w power supply
  • Arctic Esports 34 cooler
Essentially I want to replace my CPU, GPU and PSU. So what ended up happening is that I ended up bending a single pin on the 5800x CPU very slightly and fixed it up with a razor blade and now you can’t even tell it’s bent anymore. Plugging everything in correctly the computer turns on and runs with all the fans spinning from GPU, CPU cooler, and case fans, MOBO light are on, but won’t POST or show input. Things I have tried

-Update my MOBO to latest version to 3001
-Inserting single Memory stick in each slot
-Testing if the old CPU works fine with the new set up (which it did)
-Reset CMOS
  • Check different monitors
  • Plug in prior GPU
  • Make sure fan connection to MOBO is good
If anyone else has any recommendations on what to do next or if maybe my new CPU is busted completely?
