I have quite an old computer that I've been using since late 2010 and want to upgrade the CPU and GPU.

The motherboard is an ASRock N68C-S UCC.

I currently have an AMD Athlon 64 3800+, Sapphire HD 6570 2GB and 2x2GB DDR2 RAM at 800MHz.

I have already purchased 2x4GB Hynix 1600MHz DDR3 RAM.

I've had a look online at the CPU support list and the best processor it is compatible with is a Phenom II X6 1055t.

I only want to play games like CS Go and GTA V.

Would you guys recommend me getting the Phenom processor and what GPU would be best to go with the processor?

How much will that processor cost you? It's outpaced by the new-ish i3.
The motherboard will run 1000MHz bus, so your ram will be underutilized.
Your PCIe X16 is version 2, though that shouldn't be a problem for a bit. A 1080 will start pushing that limit and you'll have to upgrade eventually.
Any GPU would be an upgrade, the recommendations would depend on how much you want to spend.
