Question Upgrading CPU

I have a i5 5500k processor. I’ve noticed if I try running apex and streaming. My CPU usage maxes out and my stream drops to 1 frame. What would be the next upgrade from there? I have 16 gbs DDR4 ram and a 1060 6gb graphics card as well.

What speed is your memory?

And is it in a 2x8gb kit?

If it's faster then 2666mhz in a 2x8gb kit then I'd grab this.

Easily handles gaming & streaming.

I'd 2nd this list other than maybe swapping the CPU out for just a Ryzen 5 3600, you'll save $40 and get 98% of the performance.

i5 6600k is still a good cpu. and can do your work fine.
i think there is problem in software side. even my friend's i3 6100 able to stream PUBG at 720p (only at 25 FPS)

Expectations and preference is different for everyone. Your friend might be happy with their performance that's fine but it's we'll known by now quads aren't keeping up. Even older gen i7s from 2nd and 3rd are proving their worth over current quads in games today.

Don't underestimate Hyperthreading in this day and age.
