Upgrading Dell Studio 9100 for VR

Dell 9100 has 990XCPU and 24GB RAM, what graphics card will this PC take to make it VR PC?

You will notice a total abscense of Radeon cards here. It's due to a conflict with the Dell BIOS
If your BIOS won't allow overclocking the CPU can be unlocked in Windows with Throttlestop 8.00 software. The terminology for that family of CPUs is non standard so research overclocking on those first.

This PC came with :
Display Adapters
AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series

My quest is to upgrade graphic/video card to VR capability..please advise

The GCN 3 Radeons are where the problem started. That would be R9-3xx (and 285) and newer. The R7-xxx, and older HD xxxx cards did work. Any current Radeon would most likely not work. They older cards probably would not have good VR drivers available.
I haven't personally Done VR so you will have to go by the recommendations at either the GPU sites, or 3D Mark Firestrike scores.

Thanks william p, but..I'm really interested in which graphic/video cards I can use to obtain VR in Dell 9100, it's good to know what "won't work", so I'll not be mistakenly buying any Radeon GPU's...

Maybe if you post your question without the Dell in the title more people will look at it. Post a VR question then list the Dell info in your post. A lot of gaming people don't like, or don't know about Dells.
