Does upgrading to 3700x improve games FPS drastically? If not then can I get at least 10-15 FPS gain in games at 1080p? My GPU is 2080 and also, is it necessary for users to upgrade to x570 Motherboards? Are there any issues running 3700x on b450 Motherboard? My Motherboard is B450 Carbon PRO AC.

I'm planning to buy new CPU after 2-4 months, currently waiting for this epidemic to calm down. I'm aware that new CPU are going to release from AMD soon but I think it's better to buy new Motherboard for those new CPU.

Solution
The B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC is a good board. When I build budget ryzen system and there is no Tomahawk MAX available I buy the Carbon AC. The VRM's a a little bit worst than on the Tomahawk MAX but it's still in the midrange of the midrange. A 3700x will be fine on that board. It will need a BIOS update to support the 3700x.

1)Yes and no. You weren't very specific...
2)Yes.
3)No.
4)Yes. Some older B450 boards may be from an older batch; they won't have the needed microcode to recognize a Ryzen 3000 cpu. That doesn't actually apply to you, so the answer is no.
So does that mean my Motherboard will run 3700x at its max capacity? There'll be no bottleneck?

It honestly varries, if you have the budget then yes upgrading any component is worth it but if you run on a tight budget then spending 25% for 10% performance isn't worth it. So consider which bracket you fall in and act accordingly.
