Upgrading from 7 -> 10, going from HDD -> SSD...

Amazon should deliver my 1Tb SSD early next week and after moving my existing Win7 files to it, I plan on doing the Win10 upgrade thereafter. My question is:

I've made both an "Image" and a "Backup" of my existing HDD to an external 2Tb Seagate. Are there any...issues...restoring an HDD to an SDD? Is one better than the other?

Thanks, Tom's community!

What did you use to create this 'image?
How much total used space is on your current C drive?

Used Windows backup to create both the Image and the Backups. My current C: drive is a 200Gb HD using appx 150Gb, which I backed up to an external 2Tb Seagate. Now I want to restore to the new 1Tb SSD. Is one or the other (Image vs Backup) better?
Thanks

Neither.
Macrium Reflect, and do a direct migration from old drive to new drive. 1 step.
Everything from the old drive will go, not just what Windows things should be there.

FYI: After I got everything config'd, I took your advice & downloaded the Macrium and am half way thru the cloning already. THANK YOU!.
