Hi all, i'm new to this forum so i hope i posted this in the right sub-forum etc. :)

I'd like to upgrade from my dual ATI Radeon HD-5870's, i can see certain games lagging already (I suspect 1GB VRAM is not enough anymore) and i don't want to wait untill this card has zero value. So my question is, does anyone have a recommendation for a new GPU('s)? My price range is 250€ for a single GPU and about 400€ for a CrossfireX/SLI setup. Any help is much obliged!

Specs: (Apparently it doesn't show in my sig)
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
AMD FX-8120 (OC 3.9 GHZ)
8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 802MHz (9-9-9-24)
SABERTOOTH 990FX (AM3r2)
Samsung SyncMaster (1920x1080@59Hz)
1024MB ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series (ATI) x2 (Max OC)
56GB OCZ-SOLI D3 SATA Disk Device (SSD)
932GB SAMSUNG HD103SJ SATA Disk Device (SATA)

he says he got 400€ budget lol what are you talking about... 550ti is an old gpu and it wont boost the performance enough.

go for amd 7870xt or gtx670 they are about 150-200€ each and you can go for sli/xfire perfectly :)

According to TH, Tahiti based is actually worse?

"Although these cards bear the Radeon HD 7870 model designation, a number of 7870s are floating around with handicapped Tahiti GPUs, rather than the Pitcairn graphics processor you'd expect."

you may want to get the board from a reputable manufacturer thinking you may pay 10-15$ more... sapphire ones are told to be good...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202024&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

also it comes with a bundle of games :D

didnt really see a comparison between the 2 options but it is most likely to perform better than a single gtx680, but also effective? i dont think so; power/heat/space etc...
