Threads actual performance output will be quarter of that of an actual core, 9700 has 2 actual cores so it will be slightly better and we have the benchmarks to prove it.i7 8700 has 6c/12t but i7 9700 has 8c/8t. i think i7 8700 would do better in future or am i wrong ?
correct me if i wrong please.
if i upgrade to ryzen my mobo must be changed. i dont want to change my mobo for nowWait for Ryzen 3000 series before making your decision. If you want to buy now the 9700K will perform better than 8700K.
msi gtx 1080 gaming xYour specs??
Agreed don't bother with 8th gen parts unless they're dirt cheap.B360 cannot overclock the CPU's you have mentioned above, you will be better off with non K parts if you are going to stick with that motherboard.
My recommendation would be i7 9th gen over the i7 8th gen.
