Question Upgrading from ryzen 5 3600 to ryzen 5 5600x

Hello, i was about to make some upgrade on my pc until i found on pcpartpicker.com that the new cpu needs some bios update to work.

My question is, should i update my bios first or put in the new cpu then update the bios? and should i update my bios to the latest or just use the one that compatible?

My MOBO is MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI.

your mobo have a flash back button. can do it with the new cpu

i did the bios updates first then put the new cpu in. but it should work using flash back as well.

i went from a 3600x to a 5900x and had no problems once the new bios was in place.

Not picking up a 5700X? In the US the price difference is $7 between it and a 5600X.

its all cool, because im not from the US and our country didnt have much flexibility on online shopping like amazon etc.
