Hello,

I want to buy an (extra) new monitor and GPU to upgrade from my current build.

I currently have i5 4690k not overclocked.
msi gtx960 oc 4gb
my current monitor is 60hertz 1080p 24 inch.

750 watt power supply dont remember wich one but wattage should be no problem.

16gb ddr4
ssd 250gb and hdd 1tb

can any of you give me some suggestions? Im looking for a NOT curved 24/27 inch monitor with 1ms or better response time, 144 hertz monitor, use the old 60 hertz as secondary and a gpu that will help me get that high fps.
I only play Rainbow 6 Siege and League of Legends but I am considering buying the new cod cold war.

Would be great to see your answers!!

-Edit

Also im not planning to upgrade it within like 5 years or something haha I built it in 2016 and felt like this was the right moment to upgrade.

I dont want to spend to much over 500 euros. So combined budget I guess like max 600.

By the way NO CURVED like really I hate curved screens. Thanks!

I would buy something like a 1660 or a 2060 max, otherwise your CPU will bottleneck. Don't listen to this guy, 5600XT and 5700 are fine but not for that system. There are some great 144hz monitors out there, here's one: 144hz 1080p

Hello , i read that you are looking for non curved monitor and i recently got 24" AOC C24G2AE/BK which is curved but its very good and smooth af . I got it for 170€ and its the best purchase ive ever made . I play r6 as well and 165 hz is soo much different than 60hz . It has 1ms and FreeSync . If you have the money i would go for rx 5600xt / rx 5700 cuz its a very good gpu or 1080 gaming , I have r5 2600 and rx 5700 and get 180fps in r6 .

Ah nah its curved never mind haha

Then I am going with your advise and buy a 2060. Thanks Did some comparison and in theory it should boost my performance by atleast 160% haha
