Im not really sure how to phrase this but the PSU that I have now is an HBA008-ZA1GT 350 and it has a fan on the rear facing side of it. All of the PSUs that I am looking at (500W) have fans on the top of the psu. I do not have a ventilation hole on the top of the case and Im not looking into cutting it apart either. How could I get around this.

Whic pc is it ?

I see what you mean, that's actually kind of tough to find.

You see, usually it's the "lowest quality" power-supplies (either the budget ones or from generic pc manufacturers) that have the rear fan exhaust design. Not necessarily worse by principle, just a different standard as time went by.

I have an idea that [strike]might work[/strike] will work according to @MauveCloud, [strike]but I would want someone else to verify my thinking.

If you currently have a top-mounted PSU (not on the bottom of the desktop), then perhaps you can mount a normal, fan-on-the-top PSU on the top of your computer but upsidedown, that way the top fan is blowing into you computer.

It could be a cool solution.

I understand what you are saying. I thought about this, but I'm not sure if this would mess up airflow.

I think this will best option/lesser of two evils that you'll be able to undertake. Otherwise that fan will be blocked as you mentioned before.

Actually, the psus with big fans are normally mounted "upside down" in cases that put the psu at the top, and they don't blow air into the computer, they exhaust it out.

They're also commonly mounted "upside down" in cases that put the psu at the bottom, as long as there's a vent for the psu to get air from below the case, though this is more variable.

Sounds good. Case closed, book em boys.

Ok! Since I only have a 90mm case fan, would/should that be upgraded to something better?

gimmi a sec

I believe your desktop fits most PSU, so something like this may work quite well.

Then you'll be on your way for a GPU. Your CPU is pretty good, so your options for GPUs is quite big. If you're into 1080p gaming I recommend the GTX 1060 (or 970 or 760 if you need cheaper).

Yes. Most good-quality cases for custom builds come with at least 120mm fans (and often places to add more such fans beyond what comes with them).
