OK i have a Dell studio 1555 with a Intel Core 2 Duo CPU (T6500)
4. GB of RAM
This computer not function quite good enough for the things i use it for(Gaming). This is what i have in mind for the computer(feel free to give better sugetions im like 16). i was planning on using an adapter which allows me to use a full sised descktop video card or a Egpu on my laptop. The problem with this is it will often create bottlenecks, so to comenstae for that i was thinking of upgrading the CPU and possibly ram. So this brings me to my questions.
1. Is this a terrible idea?
2.Would it be cheaper to build a desktop?
3. Would it be cheaper to buy a desktop?
4. If i where to do this what all should i upgrade?
5. Do you see any large problems arising?
6. Is the anyway i can keep my WiFi and install the adapter?
Thank you for anyone and everyone willing to help and also if you have any questions feel free to message me and if i have anymore question i will add them

Thank you again,
Bryce

Solution
Terrible idea. You will be capped at your CPU and Max amount of memory.

Your best option is gather enough money for an upgrade

1. Get a good mother board ($90- $130) [at this price range you will find one that has wifi build it in. No need for separate adapters)
2. Get a decept CPU (i3 to start) and then you can upgrade when you can
3. Get a least 8GB of Memory to start with (heck even 4GB is better than what you have) but you will be able to max it out at 32GB
4. Get a decent hard drive
5. What game are you playing (R9 280x or a GTX 750ti as an alternative)

$600 - $750 is what we are talking here and is upgradeable for till you hit college :)

Solution
Best solution is to build a desktop with i5 or AMD equivalent. With desktop you can always upgrade any part. Upgrading laptop the way you described is terrible idea. Basically you killed the mobility feature of a laptop.

On the side note, I hope English is not you native language....
