Specs:
RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1600MHz
CPU: Intel Core i7 9700K @ 3.60GHz(4.60GHz OC)
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING (LGA1151)
GPU: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (ASUStek Computer Inc)
Storage: 1tb HDD, 2tb HDD, 500Gb SSD

Hi Guys, im planning on upgrading my PC a bunch since i haven't bought big parts in a few years and the newer games have started to catch up with my performance and i want to get back to 144fps gaming in the newer games. I am just wondering if for some parts im planning on buying are waste of money?
I'm not THAT bad with pc's and research, i know the basics to know what's good and what's not however im not that well informed on the specific differences on models and just what my pc needs so im looking for some professional help so i don't end up wasting money, and i appreciate anyone that helps.

My Upgrades will be a bigger case with new fans since i only have 3 at the moment, a new 2 fan radiator since i only have a 1 fan radiator, the question is, do i NEED all this? my temperatures are fine at the moment however im thinking for the future is it safer to buy it now for when i upgrade my pc later?

I Also want to upgrade my GPU from a 1080 to a 3070ti but am unsure on the models i should get incase i could buy another one for much cheaper that isn't a big performance difference? I like the 3070Ti ASUS Strix OC and the 3070Ti Gigabyte Aorus Master, they look great and they are considered some of the best 3070ti's on the market from what i have seen but im wondering if they are overkill and there are options for £50+ cheaper that give the similar performances? fyi im upgrading high so i don't need to upgrade in a few years.

My Questions Are:
  1. Are the GPU's i mentioned overkill and there are much better options for the money or does these GPU's deserve the price?
  2. im looking at the NZXT Kraken Z53, do i need to Upgrade my CPU Radiator if my temperatures are usually Average-Above Average otherwise?
  3. i feel like i probably do but should i also upgrade my RAM and get another 16GB?
  4. And finally, what can you suggest for upgrades for my PC? I'm looking to spend 1k-1.5 Max

Thanks

Going from 16 to 32 RAM isn't necessarily "bad", but it wouldn't be my first idea.

Have you firmly decided against air cooling?

What is your current case? Do you want to change it purely because of size or because it is known to be inadequate for some other reason?

Bigger isn't always better. Downsides of large cases are:
-weight(for those with back problems, this one sucks).
-lots of 'wasted space' with more traditional PC builds; they look empty.
-the dedicated intakes may be further away than in smaller cases. This means air has more time to weaken before it gets to components that need it.
Not sure how 'big' you intend to go, but the really big cases are better geared towards custom liquid, where some folks can get real crafty with all that space - well, they can do it with small cases too, but that's not my point.

Q and A:
1)Only you can really answer the first part, because it's specific to what you play. If you try to over-generalize, like with those 10, 20, 50 game averages... it's just not an accurate representation for everyone.
Play your games, but turn the graphics eye candy all the way down(IF you don't play like that already) and compare it to the settings you normally play with. That will give you a better idea of what a gpu upgrade will do.
Often misunderstood: the cpu + ram = fps. The gpu tries to match that, combined with all the graphics eye candy settings.
People often blame the gpu for low fps, but the gpu can't go faster than what the cpu+ram deliver to it. It's literally the last part of the pipeline.

The second part of the question is also one only you can determine, as we all value money differently.

2)No. Intel cpu doesn't give one iota what its operating thermals are - except 99.5C.

3)Are you normally pushing 13+ GBs?
Then again, your post lacks details, and details are important for others who are looking to provide assistance. Like, 3 of your 4 questions can't get concrete answers because of the lack of details; only #2 can get a solid response.

4)Goes back to that lack of details.

There's some folks here really good with suggesting builds/upgrades, but:
-resolution is missing.
-no idea what kind of games you play.
-current cpu cooler is missing. You can probably reuse that.
-current case model.
-make, model, and age of current power supply. Not 'Corsair 750w', but 'Corsair RM750X'.
-what the ram situation is currently like - whether it really needs to go up to 32GBs.

My case is NZXT Mid-Tower 340, I've had it for 4 years and it's beaten up so I'm getting a new case regardless, it only held 4 fans and I'm planning on a 6 fan case, corsair 4000D Airflow or similar to, my temps are fine for the most part but I'm thinking more for the future and aesthetically on this.

As for air cooling I'm assuming you mean for CPU? If I wasn't do obsessed with aesthetics then I would buy air cooling and I realise that sounds contradicting because I'm trying to save money but better spend a bit extra to make it look good cus it lives on my desk after all. So yeah I would preferably prioritise liquid cooling

I'd generally try to get rid of HDDs entirely, but you may have other priorities?

Case fans.....would you require those with lighting? Are you largely indifferent to fan noise?
Yeah forgot to mention that, i am also planning on getting a 2TB SSD m.2

Yeah fan lighting is also a priority, and im not fussed with fan noise.
