Upgrading my PC help

I am currently running a fx-6300 (boosted) and a r7-250 and my performance is lacking. Which one should I upgrade first because it seems to be bottlenecking but I don't know where.

What is the PC used for?

If you're referring to games, than your gpu is the bottleneck. That cpu is pretty ok up to an R9 380X.
