Question Upgrading my predator g3620 GPU

Hi i reccently thinked about upgrating my acer predator g3620 GPU, here are some information about my pc
cpu Intel Core i5-3470, 3500 MHz
i currently have the Gt 645,
i thinked about buying a gtx 1060 3gb, but i'm not sure if my motherboard does support it

Please take a picture of inside the inside of the computer, specifically where the GPU is seated so i can see if there is enough room to fit a 1060.

You have a PCI E x16 slot so the 1060 will be compatible.

there is one tiny problem
is there a diffrent between PCI E 2x16 and 3x16
i searched and find out that my old GPU is a PCi 2x16
but the gtx 1060 is on the format of 3x16

yeah a 1060 will fit and a 1060 will not saturate a gen2 x16 slot so that is not a problem.

but there another question
the gtx 1060 need around 350~400 Watts of power according to

and i'm not sure that my powersupply can support that amount of energy. my psu model is ps-6451-5AE

is it even worting for upgrating the GPU??

I mean that PSU is not great by any means, but it should be enough. As far as your CPU its not great, but is should ok. You might notice some bottleneck in newer titles. If you have the money its definetly worth looking to upgrade basically your entire system.

is the 3 extra gb of vram on 6gb version is really better and make a diffrent or just save some money and the the 3gb variant

Yes, do not buy the 3GB variant, not only does the 3gb of extra vram actually matter, but the actual cuda core count on the 3gb is lower. The 3gb is closer to a 1050 TI than a 1060 6GB.

You have 2 12v rails both delivering 16 amps, adding up to 32 amps, so you should have enough amps for the gtx 1060.
