Upgrading my RAM Memory

I really want your help!

I have Sony Vaio Laptop

I want to upgrade my RAM to 8GB.

the problem!
I am in india. I tried to get new RAM from the local stores but I couldn't find RAM that suits my RAM's Frequency and speed.

The Question is:
Can I use RAMs with higher Frequency and speed?

Your laptop is extremely old, at this point i'd just consider getting a new laptop.
The max amount of time to keep a laptop is 4 years imo, they get outdated fast and can't keep up with modern software unless they're a high end model.
No point in paying to upgrade an outdated PC, you won't see any additional performance with that CPU either, as the CPU is the problem in terms of performance issues, not the RAM.
