upgrading os to 64bit

Hi fellas, my pc is 32bit i want to upgrade to 64 bit... ive got the cd win7 ultimate 64 bit and my pc is compaitble with the upgrade too...

After putting the cd on boot... what shud i do. Shud i format (erase) evrything first and then upgrade or just go to upgrade and upgrade it

You cannot perform just an upgrade to get from 32-bit to 64-bit. You must perform a complete format and install of the OS.
