upgrading PC for gaming - need quick advice on PSU

my PC at the moment has these specs - Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 260 Processor 3.20 GHz
RAM: 8.00GB DDR3
Motherboard: Foxconn 2AB1h with AM3 socket (i think that's correct)
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5450

and currently have a 300W psu - should I upgrade my PSU?

any advice or recommendations when choosing a PSU? Thanks

Yes I recommend a 500w power supply. While buying a power supply you need to be careful because cheap power supplies can be dangerous to your pc's components.

Good companies are listed at various parts of the forums. i will search for one such list in a sec

Yeah pick any one you feel like. if you want to upgrade in the future it may be worth getting a bigger psu etc..

If you get the hd7850 + fx6350, then the 300w psu is not enough because gpu consumes ~100w, fx6350 consumes over 100w. MB will be less than 80w. So you need 450w-500w with 25A on the 12V rail.
