No. Apply the upgrade. After the upgrade has been made and any reboots
have been applied, you can then check for earlier versions of your
application installation file(s). If you do not wish to save these for
archive and possible installation at a later date, you can delete them.
For instance, you have a folder for holding downloaded programs. It
contains three files, Photo Fun version 1.0, Photo Fun version 2.0, and your
newly downloaded upgrade, Photo Fun version 3.0. Click on version 3.0 to
install it. After the installation, delete version 1.0 and 2.0 in your
download folder, if you so desire. Keep version 3.0 and save it to a CD or
floppy disk for archiving. Once an application is installed you can delete
the installation files if you wish.
