Hello I am going to upgrade my system I have already chosen a few parts but need feedback on what to get as i am unsure

Also, I will be keeping my current case which is a be quiet case I am unsure of the version I have

I will also keep my 3080 rtx

Things I will be upgrading are my CPU, Motherboard, Power supply, as well as my SSD

Motherboards Upgrade Choices
(I'm not sure if i should get ddr5 or ddr4 ram yet but it is the same price for both motherboards below if i reuse my ddr4 ram i have atm would save money)

MSI Pro Z790-A Wi-Fi DDR5 Motherboard
ASUS Prime Z790-P Wi-Fi CSM DDR5 Motherboard

Upgrading CPU Choices

Core i9 13900k

Upgrading PSU Choices

(i am unsure if either of these PSU`s can support a 3080 rtx)

Corsair HX Platinum Modular 850W Power Supply
Corsair HX1000i Platinum Modular Low Noise 1000W Power Supply

Here is the back of each PSU

https://i.gyazo.com/0f247c8c01d92496e0ce405ccc139f05.png 850watt

Upgrading SSD Choices

(nor sure which one to get here and if new motherboards support them all

Samsung 980 PRO M.2 PCI-E Gen4 NVMe SSD 1TB
Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD 2TB
Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD 1TB
Samsung 980 PRO M.2 PCI-E Gen4 NVMe SSD 2TB

Upgrading cooler choices
( i chose air coolers cause the pump died for my liquid cooling system after a few years so they are not that reliable)

Deepcool AK620 Dual Tower CPU Cooler Zero Dark Edition
be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU Cooler

Budget doesn't much matter?

If it does, you might consider a step down to 13700k for very little performance loss.

Haven't officially checked, but I'd certainly assume both of the motherboards will support any of those SSDs.

Air cooling on a 13900K is marginal. Don't know how frantic you might get over temps.

my budget is 2000-2500 for motherboard, cpu ,psu and ssd

air cooler not good for 13900k? what about my 3080 rtx both those power supplies support it?
so i need to get liquid cooling for 13900k?

If you are getting an 13900K you might also want to consider getting a higher end motherboard with a strong recommendation towards power delivery. That level of CPU isn't exactly what you want to pair with the cost cutting Z chipset option, IMO.

If you go with air cooling for that processor, you will have to go with the largest and/or most efficient models on the market. IMO, that basically leaves the big Noctua dual fan towers, or something like a Dark Rock tower, or similar options. The size of them will matter based on whether your case has the height and will need exceptional air flow (even important with AIO).

i don't understand what u r saying ,i have my budget and two motherboards cant pay anymore than how much they bost cost atm and isnt

will these be sufficient for core i9 13900k?
There is no air cooler tmk that is sufficient for that expensive heat producing power hog of a cpu. 420 AIO and a board with more than decent VRM's is what's recommended and make sure your case has decent airflow.

"Sufficient".......hmmm. Interesting word.

No, if you are very temp conscious.

Yes, if you aren't.

Don't know whether you are or aren't.

As said before, you can:

Ignore it all and let the CPU throttle as it sees fit if heat gets too high.

Drop back to 13700K

Manually restrict the 13900K in the BIOS.

Decide you aren't going to worry so much.

Get a liquid cooler.

Or some combination of the above.

Yes, if you have one of the better coolers, decent airflow in the case, and no weird circumstance you haven't mentioned.

I think the 13700K will still accelerate toward its maximum clocks, but won't generate as much heat as the 13900K at full throttle. So you might look at a temperature log and still be alarmed.

That's by design. You have some control over power and temps in the BIOS if you just can't stand it.

might jus get a liquid cooler then cause yeah i get worried when temp is to high , any suggestions?"

Did you read a review on it?

Some people make the mistake of buying 120mm AIO coolers thinking water is some magical thing and just because it's water it's going to work great. The cooler you listed is a 360mm rad, so I'm inclined to think it would work ok. Read some reviews to make sure it doesn't have any issues.

i think my case can support 360mm liquid cooler, my case is an earlier version of this one i think https://www.pccasegear.com/products/43005/be-quiet-dark-base-pro-900-rev-2-case-silver

What's driving your decision for the 13900k over anything else?

Would you be making money with the PC?

Suppose you buy the 13900k. What might later lead you to believe that was a mistake?

Heat can be handled one way or another....higher budget, BIOS controls, or a simple decision to assign it less importance.

just cause i want the best available
if the temps get to hot then that would make me think it was a mistake which is why i asked for a good liquid cooler for it but im not sure if my case can support a 420mm I think max is 360mm

i did some research and the 3 coolers below are ones i consider getting

Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360mm ARGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler $199
be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX 360mm ARGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler $249
NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm AIO Liquid CPU Cooler $465

they all have decent reviews which one would u guys recommend?

"I want the best available"..................That opens a can of worms.

We still don't know what you do with the PC. Scientific calculations? Crossword puzzles? I'm guessing you don't make a living with the PC. Guessing.

"Best"; "too hot".............those are all highly personal evaluations, complicated by "want".

If best means fastest, then obviously 13900k.

"too hot"............what's that? You can control heat in the BIOS. You can ignore heat. Take your pick.

You could have a bad experience regardless of what you choose. No way out of that.

Not sure what you are hoping to hear. If you are given 5 recommendations, which do you believe?

Buyer's remorse, second-guessing yourself, fear of missing out, indecision.....all of that is related to personal emotions, not hardware capabilities.

Good luck.
