upgrading the GPU

my budget has increased allowing me to further upgrade my GPU. so i will be picking either the ASUS matrix 7970 PLATINUM(649 SGD) vs the ASUS GTX 680 direct cu II TOP(629 SGD). which is better???

heres my update. my final decision would be the ASUS R9 280x direct cu II top. i just compared it with the 7970 matrix and why the hell does the 280x do better than the matrix in games such as bf3?its also way cheaper. heres the links,

U have to know that Driver used to test both GPU is different ~
And AMD boost a lot of GCN card performance after a few driver update ~
So u cant trust cant compare both card review ~
Or u can just see the HD 7970 Ghz edition in R9 280X DC II review ~
Matrix should be better or about that kind of performance ~

oh god, the asus gtx 680 directcu II top's price just decreased to from 629 to 519, that is a VERY BIG DROP! i wonder................

btw does the asus gtx 680 direct cu II top beat msi's N760 Hawk oc or ANY gtx 770s out there?just curious

280x and 680 perform similarly. But with the 280x you get Mantle Support, True Audio and of course you can choose any 3 games you like from AMD's bundle of 8 games.

Anyways I would go with the 280x in any case.

so when i was building my pc, the guys told me that a gtx 760 is enough and they told me to just get the the 4bg version. well bf4 is running at 45-60 fps cause apparently the card is more than fast enough and the only prob was the video mem and i am quite happy with the card............so ummmmm.....yeah

4 gb memory is overkill just to crank up the price. You would've been better off with an r9 280x. mantle support coming soon which will even add more fps to bf4.

760 is way less powerful than the 280x.

280x is a beast when compared to the 760.

Heck, 280x is better than even the Nvidia 770. It is the best mid range GPU right now.
