So, by the end of this year I would like to upgrade to a 980. However, I am concerned about whether I'm going to have to buy a new power supply or maybe even a CPU. I checked on the NVIDIA website and the minimum power supply is 500w, which I currently have. Do you think I could get away with using the one I have now? I'm not going to be doing any overclocking. Also, my CPU is a i5 4670, which I'm pretty sure will be fine but I just want to make sure. Thanks in advance :D

SPECS

GPU: ASUS GTX 760 2gb
CPU: i5 4670k
RAM: 8gb G.Skill Ripjaws (2 sticks of 4gb)
Motherboard: MSI Z87 - G45
PSU: Corsair CX500M 500w power supply
Storage: 160GB HDD, 1TB HDD, 120GB SSD
Case: Corsair 230t Orange
Cooling: 4 fans, Stock CPU cooler, stock GPU cooling

Your cpu is fine... it is getting really close. a gtx 980 runs around 275 watts on full load. With that power supply you wouldnt be able to overclock both the cpu and gpu to much... From looking at your components, I believe that you will be running around 480 watts. And that is cutting it really close. I would reccomend upgrading your power supply before buying a gtx 980

Hope This Helps!
