Hi, I'm new to this stuff,So I am upgrading my computer and getting the following: i5 3570K CPU, Asrock Z77-EXTREME4 Z77, And about 8 GB of G. Skill rip-jaws RAM(probably1600MHz, not sure), and the case which I am coming from is the NZXT Alpha and my questions were:

Since the NZXT Alpha has USB 2.0 front and back ports, when I install the Motherboard and all the other stuff, will everything work out, like will the ports on the case be able to be used since the MoBo is USB 3.0?

Also: I am not planning to upgrade my GPU at the moment, so will the GTX 260 fit fine in the PCIec 3.0 Slot?

Thanks A lot, your welcome to give me other tips as well :)

Solution
Quick answers; yes and yes.

Longer answer: The motherboard is likely to have dedicated USB2.0 headers on it, and if not, USB3.0 is backwards compatible.

The GFX card will fit in any PCI-E x16 slot, including the v3 revision; again it is backwards compatible.
