Hey y'all, so I just finished building my new pc a few weeks ago and I installed 6 addressable uphere rgb fans along with the uphere 120mm addressable rgb aio cpu cooler. I was looking to go for a galaxy theme for the lighting and figured since they were motherboard connected I would have more customizing options through Asrock Polychrome. Sadly, polychrome doesn't have the best customization(at least that I have seen with my recent tinkering) and I was wondering if there was an outside software I could use to control the rgb for the fans and such? I heard JayzTwoCents talk about CAM on one of his latest videos and was wondering if that would be a good option or if it would work at all? Any help or ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

CAM does not allow you to use it on other platforms unless you have hardware that is supported by it. The same can be said for Corsair's iCue software.

In all aspects, you should've come across videos and articles about how RGB or ARGB are a nightmare to work with especially with mismatched RGB ecosystem's. What's worse is that the same can be found even if you have a matched ecosystem. Then is the matter about each subsequent revision of the RGB app's that cater to mistakes/bugs/glitches of the previous version only to bring about another issue.

If anything, patience is the key factor here and last effort is just ditch RGB'ing since it actually just makes you wish you spent the money on a purely performance standpoint.

You forgot to mention the specs to your build. List them like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

As a constellation suggestion, make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard and that you've tried working with other versions of PolyChrome from ASRock.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
Motherboard: Asrock B450 Steel Legend Atx
Ram: 16gb Geil Super Luce Sync 3000 MHz
SSD/HDD: 512GB Team Group nvme/ 1TB Toshiba 7200 rpm HDD
GPU: RX 570 8GB Sapphire Nitro
PSU: 750w Antec HCG
Chassis: Deepcool Matrexx 50
OS: Windows 10 Home

Looking at upgrading to a gtx 1080 soon. I was just curious if there were any aftermarket software options for rgb control. I am very happy with the system itself.
