Allright so right now my pc is this:
CPU: AMD FX-8350
MOBO: MSI 760 ga-p43
GPU: Asus geforce 960 gtx 4gb
RAM: 16gb ddr3
Cooling: 500W

So i dont really know if i wanna upragde to intel or not, ive heard that my motherboard is really old and is draggin my cpu down. Im at a low budget so i dont know if i should upgrade to intel or buy a new motherboard. Please help, and thank you!

Going back to your original build listing , yes that board is awful & its an absolute certainty that you are not getting the proper performance from your 8350 on it.

Now with everyone bleating on about going intel its an option but you'll spend your whole budget on a CPU/mb & ram & you'll still be running a gtx 960 at the end of the day.

An 8350 on a decent board , running properly , can run a far more powerful GPU than the 960 well.

So yes IMO, you really should drop $80 or so on a decent quality board before you do anything else.

If you want good board for intel's latest socket you pay a lot. And if you don't why even use intel at all? Then you get to pay again when you want a new CPU.

It used to be every 4-5 years but now it's just ridiculous.

My z170md3h was 130$ equivalent. Absolutely fine and running the system and clocks in my sig.

In 5 years I've spent 250$ on intel motherboards and maintained top line gaming performance. If I keep this for 3 years that's 30$ a year....struggling to see your argument buddy

Everybody, almost anyways, makes good points. However, the bad side to this is you are right in between generations. Skylake is out, kaby-lake looks to be more laptop oriented, Cannon-Lake would be the next best Intel upgrade, and thats gonna be a minute. Zen s not (hopefully) due for release till 1st/2nd quarter of next year, so more likely if rushed will end up being like the Bulldozer cpus and waiting on Zen+ will be the real payoff.

What most benchmarks miss is that amd fx Cpus can gain a considerable amount of performance when flying by the seat of its pants. Get as much OC as you can out of that cpu.

Exhaust all the cheap and easy upgrades first, SSD and gpu. A full platform switch might also mean a new copy of Windows, so maybe add another $80 to that Intel suggestion. I'd start with a SanDisk ssd plus and an Rx 480. Even if you do decide to go with Zen or switch to Intel next year, both are transferable and viable, so effectively cost free at switch time.

All teh abopve being said, i stand by my recommendation. Go with teh build i listed and sell you current stuff while it can still get you some money, because when Zen comes out and if it's good, all teh value of the 8350 you own will be practically gone.
