UPS not giving backup

I have a 800VA UPS from 2012, and when my pc is on heavy load it shutdowns immediately. Eg: I was playing crysis 2 and a power cut shut my pc down. Any solutions? Is the battery dead? I dont have any instruments for checking anything.

also something to verify is that your computer is not asking more power thant he UPS can supply, that 800VA usually works for 550 to 600W only, any higher PSU and it wont do it.
Yes, V*A=W but.. that is assuming power factor correction is 1. not 0.6 to 0.8 that most PSU's have. so 600W psu with 0.8 power factor actually wants 750VA (600/0.8)

I'd call them for battery replacement anyway, no matter it is in warranty, a good UPS manufacturer will help you ,ofcourse it will cost money for a new battery,as it is out of warranty.

Thanks for your answer, I have a CX430W PSU so that should be okay. As @SPgamer007 said I should get a battery replacement :)
