UPS software not working

Just bought the Tripp Lite 1500VA Smart UPS Back Up, 900W Rack-Mount/Tower, LCD, AVR, Extended Runtime Option, USB, DB9 (SMART1500LCDXL) http://a.co/6IMi7Wr, Ive downloaded PowerAlert Agent Console 12.04 and it isnt showing anything. It is not seeing the device correctly or something, Ive got it connected to my Custom W10Pro gaming PC via the usb provided, any tips on getting it working correctly? I have the HID UPS Battery driver installed but its not showing anything specific to my model, should it?

What does the MANUAL say you should see?

You might only have access to BATTERY amount, voltage, and the ability to set shut-off values (such as 10% battery left).

What matters most is that it WORKS, so once the battery is charged you should pull the AC power cable of the UPS out of the wall. The computer should run down the battery, then AUTO TURN OFF.

So the computer needs the USB input to tell it when to turn off (or standbay first.. not sure what options you have)
