I'm a bit stuck getting the drawbridge down
outside the dungeon. Well in fact I'm fairly
stuck in Gahreesen and Kadish at the moment too.
I've a feeling Gahressen and Teledahn are going to
end up linked together somehow, but I'm not sure
where yet. Anyway here's my current state of play

Teledahn - as above. 4/7
Gahreesen - I'm in the "training centre" but can't
get anything interesting to happen. 4/7
Kadish - hexagonal tiles room. 3/7

I've not looked through the group archive for
hints, because I don't want to know how to get
past these points in the game, but I would be
interested to know where the clues are to get me
past (so I can do the problem myself). If you're
capable of offering the meerest hint, please do.
If it's not possible, and you practically need to
tell me outright, please don't.

Ta.

Neil

PS I have to D'ni and PotS installed now as well,
so I see things which are obviously part of the
expansion packs, and other things which I'm not
quite sure whether they were there without them or
not. I don't think it's confusing me, but I never
know. (In fact I've finished PotS, which I turned
to having stuck on Uru for a while. That seems
quite stand-alone. But I haven't a clue about to
D'ni; is that very much a follow on?)

I can tell you how to partially drop the drawbridge so you can use the
handle to drop it the rest of the way. As far as Gahreesen and Teledahn
being linked together, they are near the end.

To partially drop the bridge, you have to run & jump to dropkick the bridge.
It is stuck in the up position. Then you can use the handle to lower it the
rest of the way.

Hope this helps.

You know, I'm sure I must have done that at least
eight or ten times already. There must be a
sweet-spot somewhere. I'll keep on banging away
and see what happens.

I do find that to be a little frustrating at a
couple of points already. I've found out here
that I had the right idea, but something in the
execution was not quite right. And I tried the
right answer a couple of times in the light maze
at the bottom of the tree on Kadish, without it
working; I must have just shaved a couple of wrong
blocks without noticing. Of course when that
happens, you end up going down all sorts of dead
ends because you believe that method doesn't work.
I think a little extra lee-way in this area
wouldn't go amiss.

What I do, is get a running start at the bridge, then before you get there,
you have to jump, you should automatically kick the bridge.

As far as the light maze, you need to make sure that you hit the 2,3 & 5th
buttons while walking down to the maze. You can't "cut" any corners,
otherwise the route won't reveal itself.
